Dog Clicker Training & Lessons · Kimbytes
Effective September 24, 2026. Dog Clicker Training & Lessons is developed by Kimbytes. This page describes the current iOS app.
Your dog’s journal stays on your device
Dog names, selected goals, practice records, cue lists and notes are saved in the app’s local storage. The app does not send this content to Kimbytes or RevenueCat. There is no app account or app-operated cloud sync. Your operating system’s backup settings may include app data. Deleting local records does not necessarily remove copies in an existing device backup.
Purchases and a random app identifier
Apple handles checkout and payment details. RevenueCat helps validate purchases, restore access and manage Monthly and Lifetime access. A random app user ID created by the app is sent to RevenueCat with purchase information. It is not your dog’s name or your email address, but it links purchase records for this app installation. We do not receive your card number.
RevenueCat processes purchase and entitlement history and service information such as the app/store platform and locale. Its dashboard provides purchase analytics. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy for its handling of data.
Optional usage analytics
When usage analytics is enabled, the app sends a random installation ID and limited events to our Firebase-hosted service: app launches, onboarding steps and sound-demo use, paywall views and selected plan, purchase or restore outcomes, lesson IDs, practice duration and saved-session events. It may include app language, platform, test/production environment and configuration revision. We do not send dog names, goals, journal notes, cue-book text or audio recordings. Client activity is used to understand failures and improve the experience, not as proof of payment. You can stop future optional usage events in Help & privacy → Share usage analytics. Turning off usage events does not disable the purchase services needed to buy or restore.
RevenueCat sends authenticated purchase lifecycle notifications to our backend, including purchase product, store, country, currency, amount, timestamps, trial/subscription status and related customer IDs. We use these to understand revenue, renewals and refunds. They never decide whether the app unlocks a RevenueCat-confirmed purchase. Our service uses Google Firebase infrastructure in the United States; support is operated from the Philippines. Providers may process data in other countries under their own safeguards. Operational hosting logs may include IP addresses. We do not sell your personal data.
Apple advertising attribution
The iOS app requests Apple’s AdServices attribution token and sends it to RevenueCat. When optional usage analytics is enabled, it also sends the token to our backend, which asks Apple whether the install is attributed. Tokens are not stored in our analytics database. Resolved campaign, ad-group and keyword identifiers may be joined to purchase events using the app installation ID; unresolved attribution stays unknown. This can help associate an installation or purchase with an Apple Ads campaign. The app does not request the IDFA advertising identifier and does not use dog names or journal notes for advertising. An attribution integration does not mean an advertisement was shown to you.
Support and website requests
If you contact support, we receive the address and information you choose to send. Avoid including sensitive personal details in training notes or support messages. Opening our support or legal pages also sends the usual web request information, including an IP address, to the website hosting provider.
Permissions
The clicker plays a bundled sound. It does not record audio or request microphone access. The current app does not request location, contacts or photo-library access.
Retention and your choices
Local training records remain until you delete them or remove the app’s data. Store purchase records may remain with Apple and RevenueCat for access restoration, accounting, fraud prevention and applicable legal requirements. Reinstalling the app does not by itself erase a store purchase record. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of data we control by contacting us. We may need information to identify the relevant record and verify a request.
To request deletion of analytics records we control, copy the Support ID from Help & privacy and email it to us. We retain usage and purchase analytics while reasonably needed for product operation, troubleshooting and accounting; you can request deletion, subject to legal retention requirements. Turning off analytics does not erase already-recorded events. Dog names and notes remain local and must be deleted on the device.
Children
The app is intended for people responsible for caring for and training a dog. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal data through support.
